1TeK Computer Services is the trading name I use to represent myself. After spending some 15 years working full time as an I.T. Support Analyst for several large organizations, I decided to become my own boss in 2002.

The ultimate aim of 1TeK is to provide a value for money no-nonsense mobile I.T. support service directly to the domestic and small business owner. And without compromising on quality and customer satisfaction.

Having visited literally hundreds of customers over the years, I have first hand experience of what customers expect. I am also very much aware of the confusing tactics that other large well known I.T. support companies use in order to take as much of your money as possible.

To make things as transparent as possible, I offer a straightforward charging system of £100 per job. Or £150 per job for customers within the M25. The areas that I cover are the London area all the way down to Bournemouth. Please click on coverage to see more detail.

Definition of a job

A job can include several different specific tasks that could be realistically achieved in one visit. For example, a typical job might be to come to you and setup a new PC along with a new printer and also setup a wireless network. This is one job and one charge.

It may well be that after visiting you, I cannot complete the agreed tasks within the expected time. Perhaps due to issues with your equipment that require returning the next day. Or perhaps I need to download something from the Internet that is taking forever. I will still only charge you the agreed amount prior to visiting you.

On average, a job usually take around 2 hours. However, to provide transparency, I will not charge more if it goes over this time.

Business Customers

Most of my business customers work from home, or have a small operating overhead. And as such, are very similar to domestic customers with respect to predicting job times. And as such, I will aim to offer a one off fee for all the tasks that can be completed within 1 visit.

For larger companies (usually companies who employ staff) who wish to hire me on daily basis, I charge £150 per day or £200 per day if within the M25. This is usually the case if the support requirements are of a nature that time scales cannot be predicted.
